Mention the name True Master in rap circles and you will undoubtedly be flooded with comments praising the production work of the man behind such Wu-Tang classics like Ol' Dirty Bastard's "Brooklyn Zoo", Ghostface Killah's "Fish", "Heaterz" & "The M.G.M." from Wu-Tang Forever and countless other classics.  Often overlooked is the fact that True Master's foundation began as an MC.  While he has technically only released one solo single (1995's "Who's the Truest?"), he has demonstrated his lyrical prowess over the years rhyming alongside hip-hop legends like Guru, KRS-One and the Wu-Tang Clan, more than holding his own in the process.  To commemorate True Master's contributions to the rap game as an MC, DYP tha Goldynchild has compiled this collection of songs that all feature True Master on vocals. Some tracks have been edited or recut by DYP in order to make the project flow in a cohesive manner. While it may be a while before we hear a true solo effort from the currently incarcerated True Master, this presentation serves as both a look back at True's lyrical career as well as a glimpse of what a solo album from True Master might sound like.

Because of his legal situation, we were not able to get an official endorsement from True Master for this project.  It is only intended for promotional purposes and to pay homage.  DYP has put together full artwork for this release, but because of rampant bootlegging in the past will only release it to True Master and his camp.  Please do not purchase any bootleg copies on the internet of this or any of our projects!  Any physical products that we choose to offer will be announced here first, and available only through reputable outlets.

It's Official - Killarmy Is BACK!!!

For years, there have been whispers of a Killarmy reunion...Whispers that at times seemed like nothing more than wishful thinking dreamt up by nostalgic fans who refused to accept that the era of grimey, militant hip-hop was over. Half the members of the group never seemed to be able to stay out of prison, and those that did often and mysteriously chose to stay out of the spotlight. For almost a decade, fans have patiently waited for a follow up to 2001's excellent "Fear, Love & War", (a criminally slept on album that unfortunately coincided with the collapse of Loud Records, and therefore never got the push it deserved). Well, it seems now that the wait is over! Die-hard fans will finally have their thirst for that militant shit quenched this year, as the seminal collective known as Killarmy will be releasing their much anticipated fourth group effort later this year. The triumphant return kicks off in June with the premier of "The Sound of Gunz", a Bronze Nazareth laced masterpiece which will reintroduce the world to "The 6 Man Wetting". There is also an accompanying video in the works to provide the visual thrills. Look for a big announcement from Killarmy coming very soon. I have been told directly that production duties will be handled by all of the Wu-Elements' heavy hitters: RZA, True Master, Allah Mathematics, 4th Disciple & Bronze Nazareth. Also, there will be guest shots from Clan members, as well as Killa Beez. This album is shaping up to be one of the most anticipated Wu-related projects of all time.
